Hazardous materials abatement workers identify, remove, package, transport, and dispose of hazardous materials such as asbestos, mould, lead, mercury, PCBs, and other biological hazards.

You have mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with safety procedures, provincial regulations, and federal laws
  • Pre-cleans work areas
  • Build and dismantle enclosures for work areas
  • Set up and dismantle decontamination chambers
  • Remove and clean hazardous material
  • Perform post tear-down clean
  • Conduct routine inspections

  • Physical fitness, stamina, ability to lift 25 kg
  • Self-starter, ability to work in teams or alone
